Procedures for new key exchange.
The board of directors approved to get new locks and keys throughout the condo. This is a tedious challenge and to do this in some type of order the following procedure is established.
We will receive and issue the new keys before the new locks are installed. You will be able to use your current key until the date we specify that the locks will be changed.
- Keys will be issued on a 1 for 1 basis.
- No more than 3 keys will be issued for each unit, that is, if you have three keys to turn in.
- The numbered keys you are exchanging should match what we have on file for you in our current list.
- If you paid for additional keys and you do not have those keys to turn them in, you will not get credit for them and you will only be able to exchange those keys which you have on our current list and in your possession.
- Owners that are here will be able to exchange and sign for their keys in the Atlantic Room on 17 June 2025 from 9-12 AM.
- For those owners who workdays and can only do the exchange in the evening. We will be issuing keys in the Atlantic Room on 17 June 2025 from 6-9 PM.
- All keys issued will be numbered and signed for.
- All owners who have tenants and wish for the tenant or real estate company to exchange the keys, we will need something in writing with their name and unit number listed for the exchange and they will sign for the keys.
- Tenants authorized by the owner to receive keys must have a current lease and renters information sheet on file.
- Owners who are not living here and wish to get keys, the following procedures are enacted.
- You must email the office requesting the keys.
- If you want someone here to accept your keys you need to tell us who they are, and you give them permission to sign for your keys.
- If you wish to have the keys mailed, we will only mail 1 key to you and the other key(s) will be put in your unit or you can have them mailed to you at your expense. If this is the case, we will not be responsible for the keys being delivered to you. If they are lost in transit you will have to pay to replace them. Keeping in mind each key is $350.00 to replace.
Thanking you in advance for your cooperation in this endeavor and if you do not exchange keys on those dates you unfortunately will be locked out on 23 June 2025, that is the date the locks will be changed.
